Welcome IEI Students!

Hi. Thanks for checking out the blog. I would love to hear from you, so post a comment with answers to the questions I posed. Or feel free just to introduce yourself, tell about the things you like, etc. I'll start...

  • willingness to help, resiliency, wicked sense of humor, but most importantly--strength of character
  • jealousy, intolerance, spiders
  • this afternoon at the gym when I rolled off of the exercise ball I was using. (Did I mention I'm a bit clumsy? oops.)
  • meeting all of you and experiencing an amazing (from what I hear) city together. getting lost--eek!
  • "the best things in life aren't things" ~art buchwald

Enjoy the end of your school year. Can't wait.

I guess I'll be the first to answer (on your blog at least). Here are the answers to the questions you e-mailed:

What qualities do you admire in your best friend/favorite teacher/sibling/parent?
-I admire optimism, a sense of humor, understanding, intelligence, and definitely the ability to forgive.

This world would be a better place without…
-prejudices, diseases, and ticks.

When was the last time you laughed and what prompted it?
-A couple of hours ago, I was painting a room with a couple of friends. It was very amusing since none of us had skills in the painting department. Craziness ensued, and there was definitely a bit of a mess left behind--I'm still trying to figure out how to remove some paint from my hair.

What are you most excited for in London?
-I'm very, very, very excited about meeting new people, my internship, the freedom I'm going to get away my small town, and the food, definitely the food. ;)
Most nervous about?
-I know absolutely no one that's going on this trip, and I've never been to London, so I hope I don't get lost. I really just hope that everything works out perfectly.

What’s your favorite quote? Motto? Words you live by?
-Whoever said, "Hindsight is always twenty-twenty," was right.

I look forward to meeting you!

Sorry that I had to comment here, but I found a video that illustrates exactly the example you love to give in class - dancing!
